Cycle path in Lyme Valley is traffic-free and lit at night. At the south end you can find a Newcastle Velodrom and to the north, you can get to Newcastle town centre.
Most of the cycle paths around Keele University are segregated, paved and lit with safe toucan crossings and plenty of cycle parking available.
